Houston Rodeo Food Favorites

One of the many reasons I love spring time in Texas is because of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. My family and I go almost every year, and we always have a blast. I have great memories of walking around the carnival, seeing the livestock, playing fun games, and more recently, watching the mutton busting. (To those of you that are unfamiliar with mutton busting, it’s a popular event at rodeos similar to bull riding, except it involves sheep and kiddos.) Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll have the opportunity to go this time around! I am so, so sad that I won’t be able to experience the fun and eat all the new and delicious foods. If you have the chance to go this year, eat lots for me! (It starts next week, March 1st!) It ain’t the time to be counting calories. Here are my some of my favorites from past years:
