My mom returned from Indonesia only a few weeks ago and of course, she came home bearing an abundance of gifts. Naturally, my heart…excuse me, my stomach…was drawn to the kue lapis (“Thousand Layer Cake”), but I also found a few pieces of clothing. After rummaging through some beautifully printed skirts and dresses, I came across this handmade-looking teal peasant top blouse. At first glance, I disliked this shirt. A lot. But after setting it aside on my bed bench and passing by it a few times, I figured I would make use out of it. With white capris, metallic sandals, and some fun add-ons like a colorful necklace, round sunnies, and a fishtail braid, this light and airy sheer top works perfectly for the remaining days of summer. And this shirt can easily be tucked into a jewel-toned skirt and paired with gold flats for fall.
