adorable cookie socks from The Hot Sox Co. in my favorite color!

What a whirlwind of a month it’s been, y’all. School, school, and more school. It’s consumed my life this month, and boy, I sure am glad November has passed. Since I’m studying engineering in school, I think it’s only right that I present a few numbers to you: I missed two days of class this month for a 24 hour trip to Chicago, I struggled through six exams, I submitted six assignments just in the last week, and I slept about four to five hours on average each night. (Remember that post where I mentioned how long engineering majors sleep per night on average? Yeah…)

Some of you most loyal readers know that new content goes live twice a week on The Bella Insider. As you can probably tell from the lack of posts this month, November was just hectic. Just thinking back on what I did makes me feel more stressed! The biggest lesson I learned this month: know your limits. Know when to say “no” to yourself and to others. If doing something means risking your personal well-being, sometimes it’s not worth it.

All craziness of school aside, my Thanksgiving break was wonderfully spent with my dear family and some of my closest family friends. It’s my favorite time of the year, and I had such a great time visiting friends, eating incredible food, and hanging out with my family. Those few days of break were such a tease…after such a wonderful time at home, I knew I had to come back to a gruesome few weeks to wrap up the end of the semester. I’m counting down the days until I get to go back again!

A few other fun things: I took the opportunity to Chicago to participate in stopping world hunger and malnutrition with the Kraft Heinz Company Foundation, one of the most rewarding philanthropy events I’ve ever had the opportunity to attend. We package over 45,000 meals to ship off to over 35 countries, and it was so incredible seeing the impact these meals had on the families around the world.

Later in the month, I also got to meet some wonderful ladies at a Popsugar Online Influencer event at The Hotel Van Zandt, including Kelly Wynne of Kelly Wynne Handbags. It was such a treat hearing her story about how she started own company to design amazing handbags and accessories. Talk about an accessories queen!

The Hot Sox Co cheese socks

If you know me, you know how happy these cheese socks make me.

Lastly, how fun are these socks? The Hot Sox Co. was so kind to gift over a few pairs of unique and fun patterned statement socks. Naturally, my favorite ones had dessert (first picture) and cheese on them. And they make me so happy! If you’re still in need of a small gift idea, check out the Hot Sox Co. website. Each pair is typically around $6, and I think they’d make a great personalized stocking stuffer or small gift for a guy or girlfriend. Check out their website and let me know what patterned socks you have your eye on!
