It has been so hot here lately. I try to leave the house wearing a sweatshirt or light jacket, but at some point during the day, the jacket comes off. Whenever I think about warmer days, the first things that come to mind are peach and coral colors. Now I don’t know about you, but when I think of the color coral, I am always reminded of the movie Finding Nemo.

Silly, I know. Coral and peach are very cliché for warm months, but I think there’s a reason. They’re both very fresh and natural-looking and is a pretty universal color for warmer skintones to look like no makeup is being worn at all. There are always the same three makeup products that stay in my bag for spring and summer and I love them equally.
Left Back: Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush in Rosey (Pink-Coral) $9.99 at Target
This is the first cream blush I ever tried, and the consistency is like butter! It’s so soft and creamy to the touch and gives plenty of color to the cheeks with a dewy finish. I like the fact I can apply it with my fingers and it also stays on for a very decent amount of time, which is a big plus for a cream blush during warm weather.
Right Back: M.A.C. Sheertone Powder Blush in Peaches $19.50 all M.A.C. counters, stores, and online
Pure peach blush. It’s sheer, natural-looking, and is pretty much foolproof. I like it with M.A.C.’s 129 Brush to evenly distribute and blend it across the apples of the cheeks and up the temples.
Middle: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Coral Reef SPF 15 $6.49
This gloss came out with Revlon’s 2010 Spring Collection. Probably one of my favorite glosses in the entire world. I love it so much because it’s so pigmented, applies so smoothly without being sticky, and it’s so cheap for such a high-quality product. It also has SPF which is a huge plus factor for lipgloss because shiny glosses without SPF actually attracts sunlight like tanning oil and might make lips burn! Too bad this gloss is limited edition…
If you have anything that you keep in your bag at all times for spring and summer, tell me!
